Gently raise your hands above your head. Your biceps should be next to your ears and the palms should face each other. Do not forget to engage your core Breath out and stretch the frontal region of your legs and hip flexors. Extend your lower back so that your spine is engaged properly. Also, try to pull your tailbone towards the ground. Your hands should stretch to an extent that the heart is pushed up. Look backwards as you slowly move into a backbend. Hold this pose for a few seconds. To release this pose, put your hands back to the mat and return to Adho Mukha Svanasana or the Downward Dog Pose. Repeat the pose with your left leg. Ashtanga Namaskara or the Salute With Eight Parts Or Points: Now, bring both of your knees down to the floor gently. You are now required to touch the floor with your chest and chin. Your hips should be slightly up. In this pose, the eight points of your body i.e., chin, chest, two palms, two knees, two toes should touch the floor. Bhujangasana or the Cobra Pose: Relax and take a deep breath. Now, slide forward with your chest raising like a cobra with your head facing upwards. Adho Mukha Svanasana or the Downward Facing Dog Pose: Exhale and raise your hips to make an inverted “V” pose. Ashwa Sanchalanasana or the Equestrian Pose: Return to Ashwa Sanchalanasana as mentioned in Step 4. Hastapadasana or the Standing Forward Bend Pose: Now, bend your body with palms touching the floor to return to Hastapadasana pose.
