Versions of the frosting
There are a handful of alterations you can do to the cream frosting in case of lack of ingredients or if you like having fun with the ingredients. As we all know, heavy whipping cream is an important ingredient for this homemade cream frosting recipe, and it is also a staple ingredient used in a variety of recipes, including soup, homemade butter, ice cream, and many more. We’ve got your back if you’re looking for frosting without cream. Milk and butter, yes, mixing milk and butter is an easy yet foolproof method to substitute for heavy cream, which can also help you in other dishes. The role of butter here is adding extra fat to the milk, making the fat percentage of both alike. A thing to be kept in mind is that this substitute works just right with recipes that require large amounts of heavy cream to add creaminess and flavour, but it won’t whip the way heavy cream does. Evaporated milk is a shelf-stable, canned milk product having about 60% lesser water than regular toned milk. It is even creamier and thicker than milk itself, making it a low-calorie alternative for heavy cream. However, it will not whip the same as heavy cream and won’t provide the same thickness, but it works just about right in recipes where heavy cream is used as a liquid ingredient, i.e. baking well. Make sure you substitute an equal amount of evaporated milk for the best results. Another important aspect of our Creamy Cashew Frosting recipe is powdered sugar, and many times powdered sugar isn’t available, but that doesn’t stop craving finger-licking frostings, does it? And what if you’re looking to reduce your direct sugar intake or looking out for a low-calorie or even sugar-free frosting alternative for powdered sugar? We’ve got that too covered for you because everyone deserves some sweet love...literally! A low-calorie and sugar-free frosting recipe can be prepared just by using two easily available ingredients: Cornstarch and a preferred artificial sweetener in place of regular granulated or powdered sugar. This could also be used to make a frosting recipe without powdered sugar, just remember to mix all the new ingredients in a 1:1 ratio, and you’ll be good to go with the delicious not so sweet frosting.
The icing on the cake...literally!
This finger-licking-good frosting recipe can be decorated over a number of dishes and recipes, keeping health and taste in an equilibrium. Our personal favorite is the creamy cashew frosting glazed over a piece of chocolate cake. The flavour of the cashews mixed with the ingredients of your choice balances out the pinching sweet taste of chocolate, making the dish just about right to make you want to have an extra piece or maybe even two because we all deserve a treat, don’t we? There are a number of dishes our creamy cashew frosting recipe can enhance in a jiffy because there’s just something about those creamy cashews and the texture, which makes the whole dish look 10 times more appealing. Another one of our favourites to pair with the delicious homemade frosting are the cinnamon rolls. While some cinnamon rolls are topped with, and vanilla essence and on the other hand some cinnamon rolls are finished with some cheesy sauce, the creamy cashew frosting sounds just delicious paired with the cinnamon and trust us, and it tastes even better. The fluffiness, taste of the cinnamon glazed in all sorts of rich ingredients, toppled with our finger-licking good frosting will just be enough to make anyone who’s got a sweet tooth feasting out on the sweet dish- without feeling guilty one bit, sounds like a plan! What if we told you there’s one more very famous dessert you can use your frosting with- donuts! Donuts, be it any flavour, topped with our creamy cashew frosting tastes just right as the creamy frosting balances out the dry insides of the donut, giving it just the right amount of flavour. There is no doubt the frosting can make any dessert go from mediocre to magical in no time.
