Dal Tadka or Ghar Ki Dal Recipe is either served with rice or roti and you can squeeze ... a little bit of lemon to get the best results. You can also make a mixed dal fry with five dal varieties which will give more complexity to its flavour by using the same Ghar Ki Dal Ingredients. You can add Urad dal to this Ghar Ki Dal Recipe to add a new dimension to the taste and texture. You can also improvise the recipe by altering the quantity of each lentil variety according to your taste and preference to get the desired result. Most Indian households prepare dal recipes on a daily basis with slight variation in the ingredients being used. However, the commonality in preparing this dish is the simplicity and its quick-to-prepare recipe. You can also prepare it by varying the traditional spices and finally serve it with curd. Rotis/ chapatis make an excellent accompaniment with dal fries. Tips and Hacks in preparing Ghar Ki Dal
● You can substitute the Dal Tadka with Pizza sauce to create some exciting flavour upon which you can add some water to dilute it according to your preference. ● In order to make Shahi Dal Tadka, you can add some ground cashews, milk cream and homemade ghee for some rich flavour. ● You can also sprinkle mustard seeds along with the spices while preparing the tadka, which can be tweaked as per your taste and preference or dal variation. ● Another dal tadka variation could be caramelised onion tadka by adding the tadka as a seasoning to the dal fry or two lentils tempering with the caramelised onions.
