Roughly chop onions, carrot and keep aside. clean and wash broccoli and cauliflower stems. Any vegetables can be used, avoid starchy ones.

In a heavy bottom vessel add the chopped vegetables, water.

Bring to boil. Allow it to simmer on a low flame for half an hour

Add the whole spices and simmer for 15 min again. Once done cover and keep for 5 min. Strain and use as desired.
