Directions

Peel and fine chop the onion. Wash mushroom and slice it along with garlic. set aside.

In a saucepan, heat oil, add garlic and saute until golden brown, add onion and cook until translucent. Add mushroom and saute until soft.

Once the mushroom is soft, add whole wheat flour and saute until the rawness of flour disappears. Do not burn and keep stirring continuously.

As the flour is toasted add milk and mix well, avoid any lumps. Let it simmer on low flame.

Add chilli flakes, oregano, salt and black pepper; it will start to thicken a bit. Turn off the flame.

Take bread slices and spread the mushroom mixture and sprinkle some grated cheese (if using).

Place the slices on a greased tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree c for 2-3 min. Serve hot
